Historical
Notes
*'Minnie' was originally preserved
in 1968 and has been on the Kent & East Sussex and East Kent
Railways. She is one of only 3 Fox Walker locomotives in Britain.
*'Brookfield' was designed as a metre gauge loco for export to Turkey
but diverted to the Royal Navy due to WW2 (Brookfield Foundry was
then operated by the Navy)
*'1104' is an industrial loco, adapted to resemble a BR 'Wisbech
and Upwell' Tram Engine. The Number 11104 was not used in the BR
Drewry Number Series.
*03089 once worked a complete Liverpool to Scarborough Express from
Malton to Scarborough!
*03399 worked, among many places on the Weymouth Harbour Branch. |
